GS Engineering & Construction Corporation operates as an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor in Korea and internationally. The company offers services primarily in the areas of plants, power and environment, civil engineering, housing, architecture, and development.

GS E&C received a US$230 million contract to build a subway from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) under the Singaporean Ministry of Communication.

This project is for the T203 section of the 30km of 25 Thomson Lines connecting the Northern Woodlands of Singapore to the Southern Marina Bay.

A 131m tunnel and Woodlands Station for transfers and an air-raid shelter are included in the construction. The estimated construction length is 72 months, aimed for completion in September 2019.

GS E&C Head of Engineering Oh Doo-hwan said, “We will continue to build a stable portfolio of international engineering businesses, starting with Singapore.”
